As a certified Leader in Me Lighthouse School, we've established a holistic approach to education. We believe leadership, responsibility, accountability, problem solving, adaptability, and social-emotional skills are just as important as math and reading. We teach 21st century leadership and life skills to students and create a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.
We believe that SJOA graduates should possess and outwardly demonstrate certain traits, attitudes, beliefs and skills that are directly attributable to their time spent as students. This pledge, known as the Grad at Grad, is our commitment to the formation of each student. We work to shape them into well-rounded Christians who build the Kingdom of Heaven through lives of Leadership, Integrity and Service.
St. Joan of Arc School is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and compassionate community grounded in a culture of integrity.
The Annual Fund is a yearly campaign to raise financial support for a wide range of programs and initiatives that continue to provide St. Joan of Arc students with a solid educational foundation to succeed in high school and beyond. Click here to make a one time gift through faith direct.

Greetings Friends of Saint Joan of Arc,
Welcome to St. Joan of Arc Catholic School! We are proud to provide information about our school and welcome the opportunity to personalize that information for anyone interested. As a mission of the parish church, staff and families at Saint Joan of Arc School work hand in hand educating children in Gospel Values and in the Catholic tradition.
Our school is comprised of grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. This year, we are thrilled to welcome back to the building five sections of multi-aged preschool classes depending on preferred schedules. In August 2018, we opened the Saint Joan of Arc Early Learning Center located a block southeast of the school in the former Kaleidoscope building at 4186 N. Broadway. It is a bright and happy start for infants and toddlers preceding years of Catholic formation, which is much more than education.
Our current school model is organized like this:
Multi-Aged Preschool ages 3-5 Full-day Kindergarten
Elementary (1st-4th Grade) Middle School (5th-6th Grade) Junior High (7th-8th Grade)
Spanish, art, music and technology round out a robust curriculum. There is a multitude of other opportunities such as CYO, academic teams, fine arts events such as choir and band, a school play, a musical and enrichment classes and Synergy Sessions. Saint Joan of Arc has not been dubbed Saint Joan of Arts for no good reason! There are countless examples of opportunity and participation as to why we earned this glorious reputation!
The St. Joan of Arc Catholic School community is energized by the collective efforts of talented, committed staff members who work tirelessly advocating for the advancement of each child. Through effective instructional practices, high academic goals, focus on leadership and service opportunities, we work alongside families to form contributing, discerning leaders of integrity.
In April, we were named a Lighthouse School of our Leader in Me program. The Highly Effective Habits are embedded in all we do, from Father Guy Roberts’s homilies at school mass to instructional practice to inspirational reminders painted throughout the school building to the Student Lighthouse Team. This year, 8th graders will be formed into Action Teams that mirror and support the teacher teams.
We welcome the opportunity to share more about our dynamic and truly rich school community! Please contact the office at 317-283-1518 for more information or to schedule a tour. When scheduling a tour, please be prepared to provide identification and wear a badge for the safety of all.God bless,
Janet Andriole, Principal
Saint Joan of Arc Catholic School - Leadership Integrity ServiceAt St Joan of Arc school, we work together to educate today's youth and create tomorrow's leaders. Our focus this year consists of 4 main priorities:
Our focus is first and foremost on the heart: being formed by Jesus on the inside, so that all we do on the outside is exactly what Jesus would do. A Catholic education is more than just learning facts. A Catholic education is about growing and learning and becoming the people God calls us to be. When we are formed by Jesus, we not only change the world, we save it by continuing the work of our Lord.
"I would highly recommend SJOA to anyone I meet that is looking for an excellent foundation to their child’s education. The teachers and faculty at SJOA, are a big part on helping shape my boys into honest, hardworking, loving people. My oldest will be going to BCHS next year, and I know he will be successful because of all his teachers at SJOA.
We will be forever grateful for the amazing community at SJOA."
"I'm so happy to call SJOA our school!"
"Thanks for all you do in instructing these young people. My father taught public school for 34 years and I know first hand you folks don’t do it for the fortune and glory. So it’s important to let you know you are appreciated."
"We love St. Joan of Arc! It’s been fantastic having all three of our kids (4 months, 4 years, 8 years) at the same school. Specifically for our preschoolers, it has been a great stepping stone as he is becoming comfortable within and school setting. The staff are communicative and genuinely seem to have our kiddo’s best interest at heart."
"We love St. Joan of Arc School! With two kids already graduated and two more continuing to grow here, the amazing teachers and staff at SJOA have always supported our children to be young leaders. Beyond great academics, they help kids to fearlessly find their unique path in a faith-filled, loving environment that is welcoming to all."
"We love St. Joan of Arc because of the opporunities we've had, the friends we've made, and of course, the teachers."
